Rate of Pay:

  • Average starting rate $21.00

 Job Summary:

This position supports a well-rounded and stimulating program of activities for seniors that fosters a positive atmosphere and meets the spiritual, cultural, physical, intellectual, and social needs of residents both inside and outside the Community. This position is also responsible for assisting the Assisted Living Director in day-to-day operations of the community. 

Job Duties: 

  • Appropriately assist residents and resolve concerns without having to be asked.
  • Report incidents or accidents involving residents to the Assisted Living Director and Resident Care/Services Director and record all necessary information on the Resident Incident and Accident Reporting form
  • Perform special projects as requested by supervisor and all other duties as assigned
  • Be familiar with Carefield Living/ Carefield Senior Living Policies & Procedures Manual and Staff Handbook.
  • Attend required in-service training.
  • Be willing and able to work in any resident care position.
  • Pursue educational development in Alzheimer’s disease and related disorders. 
  • Able to maintain work pace appropriate to given workload. Perform activities on scheduled while maintaining regular attendance and punctuality within specified tolerance,
  • Perform COVID-19 Testing as needed.
  • Maintain records for COVID-19 testing.
  • Maintain clear records of all resident changes, requests, and irregularities in coordination with Assisted Living Director.
  • Update care plans in coordination and with direction with the Assisted Living Director.
  • Record and notify Assisted Living Director, Executive Director, physician, pharmacist, and family of any significant changes to resident’s health status and/or reactions to drugs, treatments, or significant incidents.
  • Assist as needed with order medications from pharmacy, maintain records, and ensure that medications are properly stored and cared for.
  • Audit med room and charts weekly.
  • Review and implement incident reports; evaluate for need of intervention to minimize risk of further occurrences. Escalate incidents to nurse for review.
  • Read and understand medications and charts.
  • Maintain records and files for residents, inventory, and supplies.
  • Maintain appropriate supplies at all time.
  • Provide quality assisted living and memory care program.
  • Monitor associates in administration of mediation, including frequent audits of medication records.
  • In coordination continually assess resident needs in relation to staff training needs to determine priorities in designing an ongoing orientation program.
  • Participate in New Hire Orientation program and other regular staff meetings or functions.
  • Report concerns and problems to supervisor.
  • Support staff and leadership in On-Call responsibilities.

  • Demonstrate a positive attitude and ability to work well with all people, particularly the elderly.
  • Observe universal precaution procedures and all safe workplace measures.
  • Report any suspected or observed abuse, neglect or misappropriation of property or funds of a resident to the appropriate licensing agencies.
  • Operate department within budget
  • Experience in caring for seniors in an assisted living or skilled nursing environment.
  • Completion of training program for certification in states mandating such.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.
  • 6 Months experience Medication Administration/Med Pass
